As our first Pet Care Specialist, you will provide dependable dog walks and drop-in visits while helping establish strong field practices for future caregivers.

You will receive clear standards, paid training, regular feedback, and direct support as your route and responsibilities develop.

THE POSITION

The Role and Schedule

What You’ll Do

  • Complete scheduled dog walks and routine drop-in visits

  • Follow documented care plans and household instructions

  • Provide exercise, bathroom breaks, meals, fresh water, play, and approved routine care

  • Observe pets for changes in health, behavior, or comfort

  • Protect client privacy and home security

  • Send accurate visit reports and photos through Time To Pet

  • Communicate promptly when something falls outside the care plan

At a Glance

Core availability: Weekdays from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Expected hours: This role will begin with a limited number of paid hours while the client route develops. It is designed to grow toward approximately 8 to 12 hours per week as recurring demand increases. Hours are not guaranteed.

Additional availability: Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays are helpful.

Position Requirements

  • Dependable weekday midday availability

  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and required auto insurance

  • A smartphone with reliable data service

  • Comfort working independently in clients’ homes and caring for dogs of varied sizes

  • Ability to work outdoors and perform the essential physical duties, with reasonable accommodation where applicable

  • Completion of required screening, paid training, shadow visits, and readiness checks

  • Completion of an approved Pet First Aid and CPR course within 90 days of authorization for independent care

  • $18 to $20 per hour

  • Part-time W-2 employment

  • Paid onboarding, training, and required documentation time

  • Paid travel time between client visits and approved mileage reimbursement
